When I sign & accept your quote what happens next?

01

When a buyer signs & returns a quote, the sales representative notifies the manufacturing plant, the project is then assigned to a project manager (PM). This process takes 2 to 4 business days. The PM assigned to the project will reach out to gather any clarifying information needed to get started on your submittal.

What is included in a submittal package?

02

A submittal package will be comprised of following:

  • General sheet that covers our warranty, manufacturing standards, standard options, etc.

  • Detailed drawing sheets of the parts we will be producing.

  • A standard color & texture chart highlighting what options have been chosen.

  • Cut-sheets of the products that make up your finish product such as the mix design, add mixtures, sealers, embeds, etc.

Note: PUI manufacturers products per the approved submittal package only, NOT per the contract drawings or any other contract documents. It is the Buyer's responsibility to confirm submittal package accuracy to their contract drawings.

What is NOT included in a submittal package?

03

As a precast manufacture our submittal package solely focuses on what PUI is producing. Items that are NOT included are:

  • Installation instructions

  • Layout plans

  • Details for adjacent trade such as plumbing, electrical, landscaping, structural members, etc.

  • Post-delivery assembly instructions

  • Engineering (unless specifically listed in the quote)

When does the quoted lead-time start?

04

The quoted lead time will begin once PUI has received a deposit payment & a signed submittal package from the buyer. After those items are received your project will be added to the production queue. Depending on the parts order the project will either go to our mold shop for mold fabrication or it will be added straight to the casting queue.

Can I request a rush order?

05

Yes, but only if there is production capacity at the time of request. The estimating team will decide the cost of the rush fee & the PM will forward that information to the buyer. If the rush fee is accepted, it must be paid in full & ahead of production in order to be observed.

Can I request a custom color & or texture?

06

Yes, the buyer must provide a color code (pantone, HEX, AMS, FED-STD, etc.) or color name from another concrete color supplier (Davis, Increte, Solomon, etc.). If PUI is to match existing concrete or other concrete materials on the project site, the buyer must provide a physical sample to PUI. Once those items are received, the estimating team will evaluate the additional cost of the custom color & or texture. If the custom color requires a change order, it must be signed prior to production.

How many samples are included in my quote?

07

4 PUI standard color samples are included, shipping is a flat rate of $25.00. Our standard sample size is a 3”x3”x3” cube. Multiple finishes can be applied to a sample cube if requested.

Custom color & or texture samples are not included. Custom samples are $100.00 each, plus shipping. If a full-size mockup is requested the estimator will determine the cost and it will be listed as a line item on the quote.

What should I expect when my delivery arrives?

08

The buyer is responsible to provide all necessary equipment, rigging & labor at the scheduled time of arrival to offload the product(s). Most deliveries arrive on a flat bead trailer. It is very important that the buyer confirm the parts arriving match the submittal package& bill of lading. Each delivery affords a 2-hour period to unload the product(s). Delays beyond the 2-hour window are billed at $100 per hour.

Is Precast Unlimited a contractor?

09

Precast Unlimited is NOT a contractor or sub-contractor. We are a MANUFACTURER / MATERIAL SUPPLIER. We supply products to contractor & sub-contractors.

what are the standard color & texture options?

10

Precast Unlimited offers 12 standard colors & 8 standard textures. To review those options in detail, see the Color & Textures page. Note: Colors shown on that page are approximate laboratory samples made with Portland Type II cement, native sand, and native aggerate. Due to varying condition during production actual colors may vary from the chart. The selected texture will also have an effect on the actual color as the color of the aggerate may be exposed. Concrete is a natural material, as such there will be natural variation in color & texture from piece to piece. Physical samples available upon request. Custom colors available upon request.
